What's in Your Bucket List?

I saw the "Bucket List" on the flight back. The idea is if you knew you only had 6 months to a year to live, what would you put on your list of things to do before you die. What were some of the things on they put on the list? Skydiving, Climbing the Himalayas, Dining in the French Riviera, visiting the Pyramids, the Taj Majah, Hong Kong, Kissing the most beautiful girl in the world, etc ...

There're some discussions about the meaning of life and God, but it's vague and apparently, it's optional on the list.

Roger Ebert said of this movie that: "'The Bucket List' is a movie about two old codgers who are nothing like people, both suffering from cancer that is nothing like cancer, and setting off on adventures that are nothing like possible. I urgently advise hospitals: Do not make the DVD available to your patients; there may be an outbreak of bedpans thrown at TV screens."

In contrast, we see Christ when he knew his time had come, the scripture says that he took off his outer garment and washed his disciples' feet. He became even more focused on his purpose and served those around him in practical ways. We see the pattern in scripture of people knowing their days were coming to an end preparing the next person who would carry the baton. Paul's last letter was an intimate letter to Timothy, his disciple.

Anyway, what's on your bucket list?

What a great question....

Selfish List
1. Go to space
2. Visit all the natural wonders of the world

Unselfish List
1. Prepare as many people as possible to spread the news of Jesus
